“When we skipped the game during the short months of November and December, my students were so upset that I ended up hosting a special ‘game night’ on a Friday evening. They brought candy to share, and eight students — including one of my adults — showed up just to play! That’s how much they love it.”

Looking for something to reinforce musical concepts like skips and steps on the piano keyboard, whole and half steps, bass clef notes, Guidepost C's, and musical terms? (Terms reviewed: piano, forte, mezzo piano, mezzo forte, legato, staccato, tie, crescendo and diminuendo)
I love internet activities to make learning these music theory concepts really fun!
This Escape Journey is a story-based activity that students will want to play several times! Why? Because they have choices to make in the story that changes the outcome. They are curious to see what happens if they chose the other option. I love to hear them finish the game and say, "Wait, can I play that again? I want to see what happens if..." I smile and say, "Sure."
Not only is this a story, but the activities are similar to Escape Room activities - sometimes the students need to figure out what to do and how to do it as well as knowing the musical concepts that will transport them, reveal secrets and unlock codes.
